The Tutorials

Several tutorials have been conducted for panel members, the latest of these having been held in October 2008. On previous occasions, we have been most fortunate to have had the great assistance of the London Court of International Arbitration, senior members of which having organised and conducted several tutorials on our behalf – all at no charge. We are much indebted to the LCIA.

The tutorial is a two-day residential course, held in central London and covers all the main aspects of arbitration procedure, with particular reference to possible pitfalls which an arbitration tribunal might encounter. It is the Society’s policy that members who are inexperienced in arbitral proceedings should not undertake such work until they have attended one of our tutorials.
